It’s time for some long vowel printables!
To introduce ALuv {age 6} to them, I focused first on phonemic awareness. Basically what this means is that these activities didn’t involve print…he was only listening for sounds.
FREE LONG VOWEL LISTENING ACTIVITIES
Included in this free pack are THREE activities:
1. It Falls Short– Students name each object on the row and find the two that are not the long sound of that particular vowel.
2. Long Vowel Cut and Paste Activity – Students cut apart pictures and sort them by long vowel sounds, but watch out for those two oddballs! {included in black and white}
3. Long and Short Vowel Picture Sorts – GREAT for the pocket chart or tap top area! Vowel cards and 6 color picture cards are included for each vowel.
